Interested in learning something that can help you while connecting with others? Welcome to the Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce Business Book Club.
Lauded as breaching the boundaries in explaining the experiences of people with autism and highly recommended, this month's book is "Thinking in Pictures; my life with autism" by Temple Grandin.
We chose this book as a way to be supportive of the Village of Rhinebeck's Autism Supportive Community initiative. We see the reality of creating a kinder environment for those with disabilities as being directly connected to learning more for oneself. Please do join us for this conversation!
Please purchase your book from Oblong Books & Music - Rhinebeck and mention the chamber to receive a 20% discount on the price of this month's book.
Book Club is free to attend, however we'll be accepting a suggested donation of $5-10 toward our community efforts such as the Scholarship Fund, beautifying Rhinebeck, and outreach to the next business generations.
We will have tea available and you are welcome to bring something for yourself to eat.
